At the Smart Ferroic Materials Center, we strive to understand materials down to (literally!) the atomic limit. Discovering and controlling functional materials with reduced dimensions (2D, 1D, 0D) is key to increase our computing capabilities, enhance catalytic chemical reactions to improve the quality of the water that we drink, or develop new bio-compatible sensors and very targeted drug delivery systems.
